Yoga Lab-Forrest Inspired Vinyasa Flow

Every Yoga practice, is an opportunity to explore, create, and focus on a single pointed intention. The intention is designed to bring insight and awareness that might otherwise be elusive. Breathing in a way that supports the movement is crucial to creating a fruitful experience. Yet, even this, is an exploration. Through becoming more artful in using the breath as an instrument of change, the changes translate, and in fact spill out organically into life.

A practice requires dedication, and attention to injuries, illness and other life patterns such as stress. Props are used to support the practice. During each session, I will guide you to your optimum expression of each pose, slowly building towards an apex pose. The overall intentions are those we have set and agreed upon together. A comprehensive intake prior to our working together will help us to be and to stay on track. Additionally, should there be injuries or illness, I will have prepared and educated exploratory modifications available.

Private Tailored Yoga Sessions

A complimentary consultation will help us determine how to best meet and or exceede your goals. This involves a standard intake to discuss any injuries, surgeries, illness or conditions that would require specific methods of the work. It will give us the opportunity to get aquainted and you will be able to ask any questions about our process in advance.

Due to Coronavirus most Private sessions are conducted on Zoom, however there are some local (Northern Westchester County) options for in person meetings available. CDC requirements are closely adhered to, as health and safety are paramount. Each scheduled session is one hour long. If there is a preference for 75 or 90 minute sessions, this can be discussed on our 20 to 30 minute call.

Trauma Informed Yoga Sessions

Private Yoga sessions through a trauma informed lens. Trauma is quite simply any event or circumstance that overwhelms our capacity to cope, leaving us feeling hopeless, helpless and out of control. The event or something that triggers it, are personal. Yoga is Somatic in nature inviting insights, emotional release and greater sovereignty over ones body and life. Through my Certification trainings in trauma informed Yoga, Somatic Experiencing and the Somatic approach in the Forrest Inspired Vinyasa approach, we will explore methods to move from the sympathetic nervous system in a trauma response of fight, flight or freeze to the parasypathetic nervous system of rest and digest. These methods translate to your life. Plus, we will explore resources to be used in real time between sessions. In other words you will have new tools to self regulate in life. Once a week for an hour over a 3 month period is recommended to track progress and meet specified objectives.

$100/ one hour session (1 day/week 3 month limit)
